Adventures slightly delayed due to technical difficulties!

Photographer: Rob Thomas Model and Rope: Kara Marionette So, do to technical issues (like literally, I can say that.. computer and phone issues) I will be coming back to the Tri-Cities for a few weeks before leaving again. We will be attending FIRE but I'm not so sure about a few other things... I might try to make Sinergy IV but that's a cost thing with the extra stuff that's popped up, I still have to look at the budget and make a responsible choice... I hate having to be big sometimes. I am still looking for a partner for FIRE and if you want to do Sinergy, I might make some sacrifices to go there too if the right rope-y incentive is dangled around me. (Bad pun totally intended because I'm a nerd like that) Needless to say, things are not going quite as planned but I'm working on it. I may make this a longer trip than originally intended and just immerse myself in the art of rope. I've yet to really meet that partner that I can play with on a re

It's ok to NOT forgive...

Artwork, "Pyrotechnics" and Photography: Kara Marionette From what I can find online most articles and/or the people writing them agree that forgiving someone who has abused you is either necessary or, at the very least, it will help you to feel better in the long run. Fuck That! Now it’s possible that where I personally am in this process is clouding my judgment but I ask you; why? Why should I have to allow them to feel in any way like what they have done to me is Okay?, Water under the bridge? Something that we can just sweep under the rug all over again and go back to being a normal happy family…

To me that’s what forgiveness would imply; that we’re going to put it all behind us and move forward from here and try to have a relationship all over again and the outside world will see us and, other than those who already know and stood by and did nothing for years or are ok with us having a relationship going forward or whatever, other than those people; the general p

Why the Adventure is taking place!

April is Sexual Assault Awareness Month! During that month I was involved in a plethora of things from awareness tables to working on Project Unbreakable  to taking part in roundtable discussion events etc...  We also started a student club dedicated to the awareness and elimination of sexual assault on campus called Rise on top of my normal duties at the Bay Area Women's Center  and the Sexual Assault Center  all focusing on the same topic of sexual violence prevention and education. During all of the events, I was contacted by a local news channel who had heard of all we were trying to do. I was contacted because the anchor knew of my different roles in the community and I had talked with her before regarding some other issues a few months prior. At that time I was able to get someone else to do the interview and i didn't have to. This time around she was very insistent. Especially when I told her about the new student organization Rise.
